Nestled in the lush green South of New Zealand, Waikaka Station is a fifth generation family owned farm specialising in quality genetics through their renowned Hereford, Texel and Rombreed studs. A longterm passion for these breeds has seen these animals on the Paterson’s property for over 100 years.

WAIKAKA STATION HEREFORDS

Herefords have long been a family passion with both Laurie and Sharon being brought up with the gentle cattle and instilling a love of the breed down through the subsequent generations.

WAIKAKA STATION SHEEP STUDS

Sheep have been here at Waikaka Station for longer than any of us and we have continued to expand our breeding to include Romneys, Texels, Romex and Romdales bred in southland to suit southland conditions.
